Double Thick Brownies with Chocolate Fudge Frosting

These thicker, chewy brownies slathered in a rich chocolate fudge frosting is a perfect way end to a meal.

Ingredients
  

  • cups butter or margarine, melted
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 tsp vanilla
  • 6 eggs
  • cups flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips or chip flavor of your choice
Frosting
  • 6 tbsp butter or margarine
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • 2⅔ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 tbsp milk

Method
 

  1. Melt butter.
  2. Add the cocoa to the melted butter.
  3. Cook over low heat until mixture boils or becomes thick; remove from heat.
  4. Cool completely.
  5. Mix together the other ingredients.
  6. Add the cocoa mixture.
  7. Blend until fully mixed. Adjust if necessary for spreading consistency.
