Do you ever listen to something and are just struck with so much inspiration that you just can’t keep it in?  It’s like you are bubbling over inside. Well this happened to me the other day after I finished listening to a Ruth Soukup podcast with her guest Jon Gordon.  I couldn’t keep my excitement in so I shared it with my family and now I want to share it with you.

I will tell you I’m not one who listens to podcasts all the time.  In fact, this is sort of a new thing for me.  I do find that I enjoy listening to them while I’m doing a mundane task like cleaning, folding laundry, or washing dishes.  It’s another avenue to digest information. The other day I really felt a desire to listen to a podcast; more so than normal.  I fully believe there was divine intervention that led me to this particular podcast.  I don’t have any that I follow on a regular basis, but I remembered getting emails about Ruth’s podcasts called Do It Scared and so I looked it up.

Now I know that Ruth is another fellow blogger, but I had never heard of Jon Gordon before.  The title to the podcast (Fostering Positivity, Leading With Love, and Learning From Mistakes) caught my attention, so I thought I would give it a listen.  I was completely blown away!

Jon Gordon

Jon Gordon was an amazing speaker.  I could have listened to him for hours. Hearing his story about his incredible journey from being a generally negative person to becoming someone who truly lives out positivity, encouragement, and inspiration was very moving.

Many of you know by now from reading my blog posts that I’m a pretty positive person.  I’m not wired to be a negative gal.

However, I surely do believe that even those of us who are generally positive need to take in encouragement and positive inspiration often because life can be hard.  It bolsters us up and reinforces our thought processes; it feeds the soul.

After I got finished listening to Ruth’s podcast, I knew I needed to check out what Jon Gordon had out there.  He has published many books and they all sound phenomenal–written from several different angles.  Some include positive or inspirational quotes that can encourage you every day https://amzn.to/34dmNRI.  Some focus on a particular topic to reach positivity https://amzn.to/2FCq3vJ. Some are spiritual in nature https://amzn.to/2CBKiIG and he will also have a relationship book coming out this fall https://amzn.to/3haz1hJ.  During the podcast, he spoke of how some of these books came to be and the inspiration for writing them.  After hearing the podcast and researching his books, I know that I will be getting some for myself so that I can digest more of what he has to say.  It is a blessing when you can discover someone like this and the message he has to offer.

Give the podcast a listen, check out his books.  We can all spread positivity in our world.
